We’re Trinis who see the Trinbago influence in just about every corner of the globe. From the tinkering of a steelpan in Cape Town, to the sounds of Denise Belfour on the streets of Rotterdam Carnival. We love how our twin-island punches well above its weight. Everyone knows someone who knows a Trinbagonian doing something inspiring – both at home and abroad. Trini Culture is all about showcasing these achievements.
We’re particularly interested in the unsung heroes, or those who’ve just kept marching to their own beat, content that the work itself is its own reward. It’s time to shine the spotlight.
We want to unearth the undiscovered parts of our beautiful republic. It could be an exploration into hard-to-reach places or maybe even those corners we’ve rounded since childhood without realising they hold a piece of secret history.
In short, we ask ourselves, just how far does the brilliance of our land and people shine?
